Given the choice, most of us would prefer to be at home when we’re sick. This is no different with a terminal illness. However, many families fear the responsibilities of home care. Hospice lessens the practical burdens on the entire family through a coordinated system of physical, emotional and spiritual care.
Our 10 bed in-patient care facility, The Joni Fair Hospice House, features private rooms designed to be a home away from home for our patients, their families and loved ones. The house is staffed 24 hours a day 7 days a week, and there is always a caring hospice nurse and CNA on hand to help with any need.
Our IMPACT program provides care management services with an emphasis on palliative care for patients, who may still be receiving active treatment and are not yet ready to receive hospice services. IMPACT helps improve communication for those patients with serious illnesses.
